Cabinets and Counters: As the main components, the cabinets and counters form the frame of the kitchen. Styles and durability vary, so choose what reflects your needs and

preferences.

Refrigerator and Stove Placement: Although it may be best to work with the current layout as far as wiring goes, decide if you'd still rather have these appliance hookups elsewhere.

Sink: Do you want one or a double sink? Or would you prefer two sinks that are in separate parts of the kitchen?

Lighting: Under cabinetry, spotlight, track, or pendant above key features, what do you fancy for practicality as well as décor?

Island/Breakfast Bar: Would you like a kitchen island that's just for prep, that includes inserts for cooking or the sinks, or also doubles as an eating space? How much shelving or storage do you want included?

Built in nooks: Will there be any built-in fruit, vegetable, or bread drawers, window seating, or shelving?

Budget: Last but definitely not least, what is your budget?
